The Poznań University of Life Sciences is one of the higher-education institutions in Poznań and takes a leading position in rankings of universities of life sciences and biological sciences in Poland.
The Poznań University of Life Sciences provide education within a 3-level system:
- studies for the degree of Engineer or undergraduate (bachelor) studies,
- graduate studies ending with a Master’s degree,
- doctoral studies (PhD).

Faculty of Environmental and Mechanical Engineering
The Faculty of Environmental and Mechanical Engineering is one of six faculties of the Poznań University of Life Sciences. The Faculty consists of seven departments:
- Department of Biosystems Engineering
- Department of Civil Engineering and Geoengineering
- Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection
- Department of Hydraulic and Sanitary Engineering
- Department of Land Improvement, Environmental Development and Spatial Management
- Department of of Soil Science and Land Reclamation
Courses provided by the Faculty of Environmental and Mechanical Engineering are directed for students who are interested in the technique and technology but prefering field work in contact with nature.
